i. What is Feedback?
In order to ensure that all trades go smoothly at our forums, we have installed a Feedback system. This system allows you to tell us whether or not the trade was positive, negative, or neutral. If you have ever purchased or sold goods at eBay, then you should be very familiar with how it works.
ii. Intended Use
After buying/selling/trading with another member, you MUST give feedback to both trade partners (as per Trading Post Rules). *** April 21, 2010 - To further clarify what this means - Feedback is ONLY allowed for actual trades with other members***
This system does not give you the right to run around the forums, giving positive and negative feedback to any member that you see. You may NOT give feedback to a user because (s)he is your friend or to create a false impression of a particular user.
We have setup a few restrictions including:
However, we are aware these restrictions cannot limit all tampering. Therefore, your actions can be reversed by an admin or a mod. A ban may also be a result of abusing the system.

i. What is Feedback?

- Requiring the topic ID in order to place feedback
- Requiring the thread starter to be associated with this topic ID
- Limiting feedback to trading forums only
However, we are aware these restrictions cannot limit all tampering. Therefore, your actions can be reversed by an admin or a mod. A ban may also be a result of abusing the system.
iii. Quick Guide
Follow these steps carefully to give feedback.
- Find the Topic ID. Just click on the thread where the trade took place and look in the URL for t=#. In this example, the Topic ID is 14.
- Find the member and click on the numbers next to Feedback:.
- On this page, you will see the trading history for this member. Click on Add Feedback.
- Select whether you were the buyer or the seller. If you both exchanged items, select trade. Post the Topic ID in the appropriate field and add a descriptive comment. Everything on this page CANNOT be edited; make sure everything is correct before you add feedback.
- Your feedback has been submitted and is publicly viewable in the member's profile, members list, and threads.

- "Invalid topic ID, only topics of forums 9,12,24,27,26,28,29,25,30,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59,60,61,62,63,64,65,32,33,35,66,31,34 are valid"
If you get this message, it means you have used a Topic ID from outside the Trading Post forums. This is not allowed. Double check to see if you used the correct ID. - "Invalid topic ID, the topic must be created by you or your trade partner"
A trade involves two people and one of them MUST have created the thread. Otherwise, feedback cannot be given. This ensures the thread-starter is given first priority to any offers made in his/her thread.
If you feel it is an error on our part, let us know immediately in the Feedbackforum.
